I’m always up for a road trip to Palm Springs and have done so many times! This last time was special for two reasons. One, I got to drive the Buick Regal GS, which is perfect for me because I love a fair amount of speed and of course a stylish drive. Second, I was heading to the Alegria Festival at the colorful Saguaro Hotel.
I started my two-hour drive in Orange County, CA. First I loaded the car and was very happy with the trunk space, I love to keep my car organized, so it’s fantastic when everything fits in the trunk. Once we took off I was instantly surprised, the Buick Regal GS was designed as an everyday car but yet it feels so luxurious. Starting with the sports seats, beautiful sleek display, and oh yeah the 4G LTE wifi hotspot! Also, I loved that the seats had a cooling feature it made driving through the desert much more comfortable. We got very little traffic which means I was able to play around with speed just a little bit and let me tell you it was a speedy yet smooth drive.
We arrived at The Saguaro Hotel right on time for the Algeria Festival welcome panel. We were welcomed by a panel of amazing and motivating women. The Alegria festival focuses on spiritual growth, self-care, and career motivation. After the panel, all guest headed to different workshops of their personal preference. They offer a variation of workshops from learning about essential oils, dancing for inner joy, yoga, mindful art and many more. We ended the day with a motivational speaker and a beautiful performance by Vahdir Derbez. We then woke up to a relaxing yoga session and finished off the festival with a pool party at the Saguaro Hotel. After the weekend I felt very renovated and grateful, I met great new people all on different life paths but with the same mission of becoming better versions of themselves, which is a beautiful thing. I will definitely be back next year.
